Historic garden plant with succulent foliage. Forms rosettes of emerald-green leaves. Foliage turns orange-red cast in cool fall weather. Hens & Chicks grow best in well-drained, gravelly soil that is not wet in winter. Drought tolerant. Requires little water once established.
