Persicaria affinis features conical spikes of red flowers that fade to light pink, blooming above low-growing, leathery, deep-green leaves. Nice bronze-red fall color.

Easily grown in well-drained soil. Requires little water once established. Fleeceflower is useful as a groundcover, underplanting, and helps with erosion control. Rockery plant. Tolerates varying amounts of foot traffic.
